Chicago City Limits Presents: 2004: The Year in Revue!
Chicago City Limits founding members Linda Gelman and Paul Zuckerman join Joe de Gise II and Rob Schiffman, with Travis Ploeger on the piano, for a special New Year's Eve celebration roast of 2004. This annual, made-for-New-Year's evening of comedy scenes, songs and sketches takes aim at the faces, places and events of the past year - everything from Ashcroft to Zoo closings.
There's the Presidential elections, cabinet defections, Iraqi insurrections, and more! Ronald Reagan, Yasser Arafat and Vioxx are gone, while Castro took a tumble. Hurricanes soaked Disney, and the Republicans blew into town.
Our mayor wants to build a home for the Jets and host the Olympics, while 'Roid Rage' (of the anabolic variety) hit Yankee Stadium right between the pinstripes.
Let's see now...Britney got married twice, and it's still hard to do even once if you are gay. Martha Stewart is in jail. Phil Spector, Robert Blake and Michael Jackson are close behind. So much for 2004!
