The Brandenburg Concerti by Johann Sebastian Bach are among the most popular of all classical works, each being a masterpiece in its own right. Ring in the New Year with Anthony Newman and the BachWorks orchestra, and enjoy a performance of six of the most exuberant pieces of music ever written. The show begins at 8 PM.
At 11 PM, William K. Trafka, director of music at St. Bartholomew's Church, will offer a program of festive organ works by Bach, Cook, Elgar and Vierne to
celebrate the New Year. At the stroke of midnight, Trafka will play his transcription of Copland¹s Fanfare for the Common Man.
